Christi has always had an interest in the building process and a passion for learning how things are made.  This is how she found her way into the Construction industry…
 
Christi grew up in Northern California before graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Construction Management.  There she studied Interior Design, Graphic Design and Architecture, but after taking a class in construction and speaking to the Department Head, she knew that was exactly where she wanted to be.
 
Towards the beginning of her senior year, Christi took a trip to Santa Barbara to visit Giffin & Crane General Contractors, to meet the owners and see some of their work.  Seeing the quality and care they put into each and every project, Christi immediately fell in love with the company. In 2001 she was hired on as an Estimator and seven years later was asked to run the smaller division, Giffin & Crane Projects, Inc. In 2016, after running Projects for 8 years, Christi decided to buy the company from Giffin & Crane, and set out to build the only all-female construction company in Santa Barbara. To ensure a consistency of communication and quality control in every phase, Christi is personally involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations.
 
When she’s not in the office or running around to the various jobs, you can find Christi walking her beagle, Sancho, concert hopping, wine tasting or socializing with friends.
