A heavy slate and stone Fireplace went on diet and was transformed with a sleek and elegant fresh look. The sophisticated grey plaster surround and Basalt hearth work well with the painted wood mantle that mimics the crown molding to create understated elegance!
This lucky teenager has the coolest space in the neighborhood for hanging out, watching television and who knows, maybe even doing homework! In this specially designed room with a small under counter refrigerator and sink, snacks are readily accessible. The built-in cabinetry includes pull-out shelves for printer/paper storage to keep clutter down and the Caesarstone counter top is tough enough to handle what any teenager may toss on it!
Dark wood vaulted ceilings in the Living Room made it feel overwhelming and oppressive. An old 1960’s block wall at the entry and the fireplace surround closed in and dated the space. By painting the wood and beams a fresh white, removing a partial wall by the entry the spaciousness remained without the heavy feel. A natural stone on the fireplace surround with a reclaimed wood mantle made it cozy and the custom painted wood shelving added character while showcasing some favorite collected art and ceramics.
A plan brick fireplace took on an uber cool identity after getting a face lift with beautiful tile, ‘Pietra Di Lecce’. The new painted built-in cabinets with open shelving ground the wall and offer places to hide clutter and show off beloved items. Perfect!
We took some tired upper cabinets out, built some substantial shelving above and everything got a fabulous paint job! This much lived in room got a face lift without reinventing the wheel, nice and cost effective!
Custom built-ins made all the difference to this Charming Mesa home. Lightening up the fireplace and replacing a wood railing with iron gave the room and open and inviting feel that makes you want to sit down and stay for a long time.

The custom Alder built-in benches with drawers wraps around the matching custom made table which together work as beautifully as they look for this very busy young family. The lovely indoor/outdoor fabric used to upholster the seats makes clean up a breeze.
The handsome built-in bookshelves with sconces wired into the pillars were added to turn this room into a cozy, yet sophisticated, Den with grass wallpaper and new maple floors.
A boring white painted brick and Saltillo tile hearth was an eyesore in the Living Room. Now with handsome hand-made Heath tile designed specifically for the space surrounded by a stained cherry mantle with posts, it became the focal point! May we say ‘Wow’!!
Space was at a premium so one room needed to do double duty! The white Shaker style door and drawer faces for the Laundry’s storage cabinets blend beautifully with the compact computer area and help make it feel like a much larger space.
The Laundry Room just got happier with new granite countertop and backsplash and a paint color that makes you think wash day is not dreary at all!
The clunky and awkward hearth was removed and a very modern gas fireplace insert was installed with porcelain tile inset flush with the wall to create a sophisticated look in this contemporary home.
This fabulous home was in need of some TLC. The wall of doors and side lites at the Living Room were failing due to moisture issues making it difficult to easily get in and out of the house! New doors were fabricated to match the existing style. The existing aged Oak floors were sanded and refinished then “water popped” to give them an extra depth of color.
The remodeled Living and Family Rooms include new leaded glass door cabinets built-in on either side of the River stone fireplace surround and hearth to match the existing in this Craftsman home. The new birch flooring was added throughout the house and the wall between the two rooms was shortened to create a more open feeling.
The newly created second floor landing was a perfect place to add more built-in storage with leaded glass doors to keep with the genre of the home.
The Charlton home with its carport needed more security but standard garage doors were out of the question. The ingenious bi-fold design with upper windows and siding to match the existing look as if they were always part of the original design.
